I love learning about a new tool, or technology. It always gets my mind spinning with possibilities.
So my good neighbor Vern, has a small business making vinyl signs (Eyler Signs, eylersigns@yahoo.com). They look really cool on cars, on wine bottles, and in store fronts... so I'd been thinking, hmmm , wonder how I could decorate my car? Ok, not there yet, but I did stop by the other day with a logo I'm creating for the wedding, wondering if Vern's program could cut out my illustrator files. Sure enough, we put our heads together and it works!! It looks really cool! (Next, I'll secretly sneak it on to my lovers car, ok maybe AT the wedding). Learned that dot's are a little tough, and if my lines were to thin, then it was possible it would break. I'm totally psyched though, and I'm sure we'll see some of this handy work at the wedding.
Sooo what would you do with vinyl?

Somedays I wish there were more Answers

You know how the world seems like such a strange place sometimes? One day everything seems to be right on track, loving life, liberty and friends... and then some how, for some elusive reason, the world just flip flops, and in spite of your best intentions, you can't seem to do anything right, or get anything right, or even just be in a place that's right? And the only thing running around in your head are questions. How do I help my 8 year old with his temper? How can my lover & I be on the same page? How many books do I have to read to get this right? Are we there yet? When is enough enough? When is it to much? What planet am I on?
So many questions...
Days like that, one is so thankful for friends, friends that will walk around thrift stores, and sip coffee, who will listen and talk, brainstorm, and just be a shoulder to lean on and a person to smile with. Friends do seem to have the answer to life the universe and everything... or at least they can help you hitch a ride to the next planet :-)
thank you Michele.

Spring is in the Air

We Officially have a Sprout!!!
The little one and I planted some seed this past weekend. I don't have much of a green thumb, but I'm trying hard to learn. (Let me apologize now for all the plants that may be hurt, terrorized, or other wise think that there quality of life is below par, under my care). We bought some seed starter, and me and the drill, punched holes in all kinds of plastic containers, yogurt, egg crates.. you get the idea. We then filled the containers, and added some seeds, along with the help of our neighbors kiddo.
Every day, I am diligently watering, but not over watering... insure our little seeds have light, and are warm... and sure enough I noticed, we had a little sprout... and then when I looked closer I could find more, tiny sprouts. It's sooo exciting. I believe these belong to our Strawflower row. (A couple rows may have gotten multiple seed types). We are also trying to grow Snap Dragons, Lavender, and Butterfly weed.
